After a couple of days in Bodham, I figured where everything was at in the village. "Hmm..." I thought to myself. I was wanting to leave to find Vanille, but I know I couldn't without proper equipment and somebody coming with me. So, I went to the bar to speak with Snow, yet when I arrived, he wasn't there, but saw someone else who could possibly help me out. "Hello," I said to him, kind of afraid of the reaction he would give to me. He looked at me quietly, then he noticed my scarred Brand. "Oh great, a l'cie. What do you want?" he said. "Sorry for intruding, sir, but I was wondering if you can help me out..."

He nodded slowly, then spoke again. "You want my help? First, let me ask you. What was it like being a l'cie?" I had to think about that answer. I told him everything I knew, when I first got my Brand as a l'cie all the way when I turned to "Crystal Stasis." "That's all?" he asked. "Yes... But when I woke up, I was here in Bodham, without any memory of my 'Focus' or even if I completed it." Then Lightning came in through the door. "Looks like you have introduced yourself to Sazh, Albert." she said to me. "So. That's your name, yet no collection of your Focus?" said Sazh. "Makes me miss my son..." I didn't know how to respond. "I'm sorry, Sazh." I told him. "Don't worry about it. All I know is that I long for the day I can be with him again. I know he will come out of his Crystal Stasis." he nodded.

"Albert," said Lightning. "There's someone you need to meet. She's gone through the same exact thing you have. She may have some answers for you." We both walked outside onto the beach, then she pointed out towards the west. "That's where my sister and I live. She became a l'cie a few years back, then when I found her with Snow..." She began to tear up. "She turned into Crystal. At the time, I was so upset with Snow, but yet, I have forgiven him, because he knew the truth, yet I didn't. He wanted to protect her." We walked over to her house and when we arrived, her sister was there with Snow.

"Hey! Look who's awake." he exclaimed. He apparently looked cheerful. "Hello Albert. I'm Serah, Lightning's sister and Snow's fiancee. Nice to meet you. I heard from Snow and my sister that you came out of your Crystal stasis, but yet you still have your Brand." I looked on my left shoulder to show Serah my scarred Brand. "Yes I still have it. Is there anything you can do to help me get this off?" I asked. "Unfortunately no. You have been branded, and there's no possible way to get it off. I noticed the same scarred Brand on Fang not too long ago," she told me. Interesting enough, I thought of being a l'cie was a bad thing, but yet, I completed my Focus, but still was trying to figure this out for myself.
